Bluray burner arrived this afternoon. Let's start by re-ripping those CDs that, so many years ago, I ripped in lossy formats…

…then take a look at making some backups to leave in HK before I head off to Edinburgh.

@kdfrawg Absolutely, if hard to afford. After 3 years in Paris, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my friends are earning more during their summer internships than my freshly graduated friends staying in Paris will for the next 3 years.

@kdfrawg To wear entirely linen is indeed a plan, and a very long-term (read: expensive) one. //

@kdfrawg Just a bit. With the incoming storm and the forecasted week of heavy rain, it should become quite bearable, though in HK cool weather is always gained at the cost of extreme humidity.

Uber is in an interesting situation in HK apparently, but not because of taxi drivers — something to do with insurance, I hear.

Google Maps is useless at giving directions in both HK and Paris. Bus routes incomplete. My fault though, should've checked the actual routes myself…just let 2 buses pass that would've taken me to where I need to be. And gotten me into a box with some lovely AC. Sigh.

So I'm not the only one.

Morning/afternoon.

Linen, linen, linen.

As someone who's partial to high-proof creations, I can safely say that, in my experience, it doesn't help with that kind of feeling.

Put your feet up on your desk and do a few push-ups. That'll get all the energy out of you.

@skematica How long are you staying?
