@c Indeed. Plenty of time.

@indigo Didn't end up learning much. First lesson, so it's to be expected…unfortunately that leaves me undecided as to whether I'm going to enjoy the course or not. Professor's nice enough, and it's (surprisingly) a class for both under- and post-grads, so it'll be a nice chance to see some other people.
@kdfrawg If my experience is anything to go by, that extra time will just give her a chance to get one hell of a hangover…

@indigo I do know — it’s one of the electives — I just hope it lives up to its description and isn’t overly tediously technical (English grammar from a cognitive perspective)
Looks like it's about time to head off to my first class.
I do hope it turns out to be something I can like, or at least bring myself to care about…
@indigo Wow. 10 years ago my parents paid about GBP400k for our (pretty small 2br+balcony) apartment.

There is someone selling the Beyerdynamic T1 2nd gen for half price on Amazon, but all the reviews I’ve gone through have suggested that the HD800 vs T1 is basically the same as the HD600 vs DT880: the former almost always wins for classical music, while the latter is well-suited to modern genres. Probably best not to settle, especially given that I use the HD600 80% of the time and the DT880 the other 20%…
Heh, 3 days before my birthday, I get an itch to make a significant addition to my headphone collection: the Sennhaiser HD800, which would be an interesting change from the HD600 that I’ve been using for the past 2 years alongside the DT880.
But I’m not sure I’ll be able to justify that kind of purchase. Not yet. Maybe at Christmas. Far too expensive…sigh.
