@gtwilson One thing I love about many CLI apps is that the config file is so easily backed up — and put onto another computer, if only just for the session. Not so applicable in my daily use, but handy anyway.
In reflection, this evening has been one of the better ones in a while: spent 3 hours reading Stackoverflow and Git project pages, going between Chrome and vim. Didn’t once feel bored or tempted to check any social media (not even 10C…!) Been a while since I’ve been so immersed in something.
Will be attempting to get comfortable with vim. Spent tonight configuring a vimrc for MacVim. Looks…pretty awesome.
@thrrgilag Indeed.
VMs can have GUIs as fancy as the resources that you allocate it will allow.
Don't forget to take a screenshot of the initial system, and one after you set up the non-default essentials.
// @hybotics
@gtwilson What was (/is) the Windows Way for floppy backups on such systems? Does tar exist?
// @skematica
@kdfrawg Indeed, but is Bembo ready for a sibling yet?
…oh, beach.

75431 Bit lost — what system is that computer currently on? Is the aim to install Win98 over FTP?
