@hybotics Not sure how much "if"-room you have with something as significant as vet bills, and lumping them in with everything else included under the "whatever" group might be too well received.
At least that's how I'd feel if I were fostering a pet. But I know that years of drowning in linguistics has given me a different perspective.

@matigo Having actually been to a couple of the typical tourist traps in Paris, those sound amazing for the location. My favourite meals have been in hotel restaurants, next to a train station, in a gentrifying neighbourhood, etc.
No one who lives in Paris actually hangs around the tower unless they have money to give away. :P
@literary These last few years, I've had various ideas, and have noted down a lot of them, but never really took the time to develop them. Daily non-academic writing will be hard for the next few months, unfortunately, since academic writing will take up most of the available time. And writing fiction is possibly even more challenging than academic research…
I do believe in a few weeks I'll be organising the wine list for one of my best friends' sister's wedding.
Scary doesn't begin to describe it. 3 days of dinners and celebration, extended family, friends, anyone who can come…Indian-North American fusion.
