A Lovely 10C Site!

@matigo Our new post-JV office looks like a call centre, and my monitor is a 1024x768 17” (soon to be upgraded to a 27” 1080p). All open plan.

Unfortunately, open plan doesn’t work well for our setup: half the team does very mechanical work that can be interrupted at any moment; half of us have more cognitively demanding tasks that get done faster in silence. The former sees no problem with shouting across the room to the latter (me). Also accepted are taps on the shoulder, repeating my name in an increasingly high-pitched voice, and expecting immediate response.

Not entirely sure what the point of all these WhatsApp group chats is.

@matigo ? Still haven’t found the right moment to invest yet, even though I’ve had my hardware wallet for a while now.

@matigo you must have a decent setup then. And a lot of privacy.

Which, if Apple Watch recorded accurately last time, means a sustained heart rate of 130BPM.

It’s nice being more organised than the others. No one knows when you open a bottle of wine given as a sample, because only 2 of us have bothered to know that it exists.

@JeremyCherfas Needed the Vittsjö to serve as a keyboard tray. Couldn’t put up with the compromise of either leaning forward or having my eyes suffer from sitting too close any more.

But yes, it was quite draining.
