@indigo Ah. The couple that owns the townhouse we're currently staying at wanted to rent out a portion of their massive house that they've turned into a separate 3br "house"; the catch is that it's 1300£/month (Quartermile 1br flats are 1200 and in much better shape) and the network is bridged from the router in their front room — so I'd have to share a connection with those 2 and their 2 children (14 and 16).
Asked what subscription they had and all they could tell me was that it was "Uh…we're with Virgin, so it's the fastest one they have. It's good, you know!"
Quartermile has Virgin fibre to the building — obviously, as it's pretty much the newest development (ongoing) in the city.
And the idea of living right next to the owners and their children…just too close. // @kdfrawg
