@streakmachine In this case it's especially stupid: the boss wants .docx so she can edit and play with the formatting in WYSIWYG. But the final output is email (newsletter-style thing), so she then sends the .docx to the only IT-competent guy who converts it to HTML before sending it off.
Unrelated: he's pretty much always the last one to leave the office.
Since they send thousands of these emails that look more or less the same, it would surely make a lot more sense to have some sort of form-style input. But no.
