The thing about travelling is that I always have to be careful in the preceding days about scheduling when I open wines. Been debating for a few hours whether to open a bottle tomorrow or whether to just stretch what I have open to last until after I get back from Strasbourg on Saturday evening — a delicate balance between the slight rush now to drink up the stuff in my cabinet before I move, and avoiding my least favourite problem: being drunk.

I suppose it doesn't help that the last 2 tastings I've gone to have given out gift cards of a value equivalent to the cost of the ticket. Put those towards some very nice wines.
