@thrrgilag By "rubbery", I mean like the smell of a new swimming pool toy. One of my favourite characteristics of good, well-aged Riesling is that beautiful petrol note that hits you the moment you pull the cork (or pop out the glass stopper, as some producers are thankfully now doing).
That's also what makes it quite a love-hate variety :P
