@height8 I'd love to have a kitchen like your old one. My current "bar" is the top surface of my tiny wine cabinet, and I have a glass-drying rack that holds my most used glasses, which shares half the table with my coffee equipment. The kitchen's too small to take 3 paces in, but that hasn't stopped me from acquiring some very nice pieces (carbon steel, cast iron, and knives, specifically).

I very likely will shove it all into a crate when I leave. No way I'm hand carrying 2 pressure cookers, 4 pieces of cast iron, and a 1kg carbon steel wok to another city…
