@matigo Not as separate as I'd ideally have, no, but separate enough as far as "regular" nosy people are concerned.
@matigo Why wouldn't anyone want multiple identities? I don't want some curious entity to be able to identify every site I'm registered on and link that back to my physical self.
@matigo I would agree to have some biometric as an optional account identifier, but having it as the only possible way removes the possibility of having multiple identities online.
@matigo They should be an option for a username. I don't want it to be my only possible username.
@phoneboy Absolutely. Doesn't make it impossible for people like me, but it does make it rather complicated.
Galaxy Note 7 Iris Scanner Explained [hardware.slashdot.org]
Great, except that some countries keep records of iris scans.
So…that wouldn't work too well for banking and the like…
Really weird thing just happened: a couple was walking towards me in the MTR, him on the left (from my POV) and her on the right. He was turning slightly to my left to avoid me. She didn't seem to see me, but I assumed as they were walking side by side they were together. So I turned right. She didn't react at all, and walked straight into my shoulder.
Quite sure that collision smacked her nose pretty hard.
Can't quite understand. I imagine that's the same kind of person who'd walk right into a door. Weird thing is that she wasn't even looking at a phone — she seemed to be looking straight ahead.
She seemed to be incapable of speech, but he apologised once I'd explained what I thought had happened and apologised myself.
Fucking weird.
@phoneboy I'd rather they be in a variety of languages. It just seems like everything's published in English, which makes it really hard for me to maintain German and Spanish.
It's such a pain that things like coffee and tech blogs mostly exist in English.
