@kdfrawg I embrace the slight increase in attention and productivity that being slightly hungry gives me. I get most of my essay writing done after 30 minutes of yoga and before my first bite.

//

@kdfrawg my default is also to go for 15+ yo but I've just ordered 5 bottles of various 8–12yo whiskies. Too much experimentation and undiscovered gems going on that side to ignore, and that classic 15–18yo taste profile is quite common.

That and I'm getting a little weary of the same sherry and bourbon cask flavours present in just about every Scotch past a certain age, when the barrel ends up having more effect than the raw ingredients.

@kdfrawg past a week, I'd insist on bringing my own pillow…

Useless bunch. That wine list I crafted at 9am a few days ago never got used because the site shows anything of which even only 1 bottle exists in the entire province. Everything I chose had sold out in Toronto at least a year ago.

I aim to arrive 90 minutes (at the main entrance) before the plane leaves, but I am rather spoilt by

  1. HK having an unbelievably efficient airport
  2. Edinburgh being a small and quiet airport

and I do allow for slightly longer in London, and way more for US.

reminds me of how, when I first started using iOS (2009), I suspected autocorrect worked partially by making more-likely-to-be-useful keys a few pixels larger.

Crown Royal rye isn't bad…I just wish I could get my hands on that Talisker 10 I had last night in one of the suites that I don't have an access key for.

Now the (insanely) loud music and party has started.

Time, I think, to get a whisky (from the open bar, one bonus of tonight) and head up to the room…

Sometimes I almost think I could live in Toronto.

(And make frequent weekend trips to New York.)

Have really taken a liking to absinthe cocktails this trip. Perfect when it's toasty and sunny outside.
